Trail of Tears Motorcycle Ride General Info

Trail of Tears Motorcycle Ride 2019 will be the 26th year of the event. It is on the LightningCustoms.com's 2019 Major Biker Rallies List.

In 1830 the US passed the Indian Removal Act. It required that the American Indians voluntarily leave their lands. In 1938 the deadline had expired and the remaining American Indians (Cherokee, Seminole, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek, Ponca, and Ho-Chunk/Winnebago) were forcibly removed.

During the removal of the approximately 16,000 Cherokee many of them suffered from disease, exposure, and starvation. Approximately 4,000 of them died. The path that some of Cherokee were forced to take is now referred to as the Trail of Tears. The Motorcycle Ride goes a long part of the approximate path.
